Returning from abroad is a sign of failure for many. While those who are able to go and those who go are praised, those who don’t/can’t go or those who go and decide to come back are seen as “failures”, “cowards” or “those who can’t hold on”. Hazan Özturan, as a departure and returner, has an objection to this prejudiced and competitive approach.
